About Me

I am a mother of three boys (six, five and two) living in Raleigh, NC. We are a one-car, one-income family. I am religiously conservative and politically liberal. I care for people, animals, and the environment. I am concerned about wastefulness, sweatshop labor, the inhumane treatment of animals, advertising to children, nature deficit disorder, and a deteriorating sense of community. But mostly I am concerned about unconscious living.

BLOG WITH INTEGRITY

By displaying the Blog with Integrity badge or signing the pledge, I assert that the trust of my readers and the blogging community is important to me.

I treat others respectfully, attacking ideas and not people. I also welcome respectful disagreement with my own ideas.

I believe in intellectual property rights, providing links, citing sources, and crediting inspiration where appropriate.

I disclose my material relationships, policies and business practices. My readers will know the difference between editorial, advertorial, and advertising, should I choose to have it. If I do sponsored or paid posts, they are clearly marked.

When collaborating with marketers and PR professionals, I handle myself professionally and abide by basic journalistic standards.

I always present my honest opinions to the best of my ability.

I own my words. Even if I occasionally have to eat them.

Disclosure

I do not accept money for writing reviews, but I do accept products for review and to giveaway. When posting a review, I fully disclose any free samples received from the company. I include information provided by the company in my reviews, but all opinions about the product are my own and I will not provide a good review for any product or company just because they sent me some free samples.

I am an ambassador for Reuseit.com, a great company that sells reusable products and helps people move away from a throwaway lifestyle. Being an ambassador means that I write about their company and products on occasion, but it doesn't mean I promote products that I don't believe in. My opinion is always honest and is my own. Being a Reuseit.com ambassador is an unpaid gig, but I do get a discount on their products.

At this time, I do not accept advertising for my blog.
